It is estimated that 3 million miles of dental floss is purchased per year in the USA alone and takes up to 600 years to decompose. All of this plastic makes its way to landfills and oceans causing toxins to seep into the ground and threatening sea life. This is why our all natural silk floss is completely plastic free, toxin free and packaged in biodegradable packaging. Our floss is much stronger than charcoal floss and will very rarely break or snag. We tried nearly 50 different types of floss before deciding on this silk floss. It isn't vegan as it comes from silk worms, but the silk is cruelty free, as the silk is harvested from cocoons after the moth has hatched and flown away.
