2700K (2700 Kelvin) fixtures are nearly identical in color to incandescent bulbs and are warmest.
3000K (3000 Kelvin) fixtures match halogen bulbs and are slightly less yellow than incandescent.
4000K (4000 Kelvin) fixtures don’t contain any yellow and are designed to match daylight.

We’ve found that bulbs which are 5000K or more generate a bluish tint on objects (like at a hospital or office building) and are not as comforting in a home.
