IMPORTANT CAUTION !! - When ordering 2 barrettes, the quantity selection should be 1. The quantity means one set or one pair. If you put 2 as the quantity, you will be ordering four barrettes and the total charge will be doubled. Please use *QUANTITY 1* unless you want more than two barrettes.

These basketweave and snakeskin pattern barrettes are hand made in Mooresville, Indiana, USA. I have been crafting heavy-duty leather barrettes for over 40 years now. The photos represent the color choices, but please understand that leather is a natural substance and each barrette will be unique. Each piece of leather will take the dye in its own way, and therefore there will be some variations of the colors. The barrette is 1 1/2" to 1 3/4" tall and 4 1/4” wide. The centers of the holes are 3 1/4" apart. The barrette sticks are made of lathe-turned hardwood, very sturdy and finished in an attractive dark stain.

We so often hear, "Oh, I can't wear those. My hair is too thin." Or, "Oh, I can't wear those. My hair is too thick." NOT TRUE!! If your hair is long enough for a ponytail, you can wear our barrettes. Just put your hair up in an elastic hair band. Then add the barrette by spearing the stick above the hairband. You do not have to surround all of your hair and the barrette can't slip off because it is trapped above the hair band. If you want to put your hair up in a bun, put it in a ponytail first. Then twist your hair up and add the barrette.
