The MediViz hot eye compress is highly recommended to relieve symptoms of irritated eyes and eyelids. It is an easy to use eye compress that is sure to become your go-to for eye relief. It has an elastic Velcro strap to secure comfortably to your head.How does it work? The eyelid has glands that produce an oil that is the consistency of olive oil, and that oil helps coat your tear layer to prevent evaporation. For many with irritated eyes the glands can produce secretions that are thick, like butter, and clog the glands. To keep the glands secreting properly, heating the glands with the Eye Compress can unclog the glands, providing a stable tear layer. The heated Eye Compress allows the glands to function properly to give immediate comfort. How to Use For Heat therapy: Place mask on a paper towel. Microwave for 20 seconds. Test mask temperature with fingertips. If the mask is too hot, allow to cool for 1 minute before testing with fingertips again. If the mask is not hot enough, microwave in 5 second increments until desired heat is achieved. Do NOT heat the mask for more than 30 seconds at a time.
