In 1986 Patricia Burge was determined to make a special cookie for her favorite horse, Poncho. After many months of trial and error she developed a winning recipe. At the age of 66, with encouragement from her friends and family she founded Mrs. Pastures Cookies for Horses. The company was incorporated in 1990 in the state of California and is now a nationally recognized leader in the horse treat industry. We are passionate about our business, and take great pleasure in making horses lives more enjoyable, as well as creating a means for a special bond between horses and their owners.
