  • Compatibility: This replacement AGS Switch will work on Pentair Mastertemp 400 parts along with all the other BTU's. It is also compatible with the Sta Rite heater and all HD Versions as well.
  • Fault: Consider replacing the AGS Switch when the AGS LED indicator is illuminated. AGS is short for Automatic Gas Shutoff. The upgraded Pentair boards will also say AGS on the main display.
  • Location: The AGS is located within the heater on the black manifold next to the other sensors. The two wires connecting to the sensor will be plugged in when opening.
  • Purpose: The purpose of this sensor is to measure the heat exchanger outlet temperature and ensure that it does not exceed a safe level of 140 degrees Fahrenheit.
